Are you a qualified Engineer looking to pass on your knowledge? Are you looking to become a trainer and assessor within a company that apprenticeships for blue chip clients?

On offer is the chance to join a business making a difference within the engineering sector, where you will receive high quality training to become an educator, in order to efficiently pass down your knowledge to the next generation.

This company have been established for over 50 years, and are dedicated to providing engineering apprenticeships, developing skills and locating talent within the engineering sector. They are rapidly growing, and are therefore looking for time-served engineers that are looking for a different engineering route, and/or are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

You will be responsible for teaching and delivering the core mechanical maintenance skills to engineering apprentices, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, fitting, assembly. You will be tutoring up and coming engineers based off of your previous engineering experience.

Therefore the ideal candidate will have previous engineering experience, with relevant engineering qualifications. You will also be willing to work towards a teaching qualification or be motivated to move into a teaching/educating role, and meet the requirements of a DBS check. This is a fantastic, rewarding opportunity to develop new skills within engineering, educating the next generation of engineers.

The Role

  • Teaching a range of mechanical maintenance principals (mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining etc.)
  • Training and assessment
  • Delivering high quality teaching
  • Monday - Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm


The Person

  • Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  • Motivated to develop teaching skills and work towards becoming qualified educator
  • UK Drivers license
  • Excellent communicator
