Contract Automotive Performance and Durability Engineer, Coventry, Warwickshire, Leicestershire
- 12-month contract, inside IR35 contract, negotiable hourly rate.

Your background as a Automotive Performance and Durability Engineer:
- We are looking for a candidate with a strong automotive whole vehicle performance and durability background ideally with experience across several P&D disciplines e.g., structural, powertrain, corrosion, and performance tests.
- EV vehicle experience is preferred.
- An ability to lead, mentor, support less experienced P&D Engineers.
- You will be degree qualified in a mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar discipline.
- A Performance and Durability Engineer who enjoys interacting with customers / colleagues - the role involves lots of communication with customer engineering teams and internal teams.
- You will need to have a clean full UK driving licence.
Automotive Performance and Durability Engineer Responsibilities:
- Deliver performance and durability projects including structural, powertrain, corrosion, and performance tests.
- Lead the technical / engineering aspects of vehicle performance and durability projects.
- Mentor and support the development of less experience Engineers on more complex durability programmes (no direct people management).
- Lots of opportunity to work directly with customers (industry leading vehicle manufacturers and early-stage vehicle technology developers).
- Work effectively and collaboratively with other teams (NVH, Braking, RLD, Vehicle Dynamics) as part of larger automotive R&D programmes.
This job is commutable from Coventry, Leicester, Rugby, Solihull, Birmingham, Northampton, Tamworth, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Loughborough, Swadlincote, and surrounding areas.
