The strategically important Field Service Engineer role comes with a salary of 32,000 - 45,000 (DOE), company profit share bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

Responsibilities and duties
As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:


  • Commissioning and configuring Rapid DC, Ultra, and HPC EV chargers at client sites.

  • Performing routine and preventive maintenance on EV charging stations.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.

  • Conducting diagnostic tests, firmware updates, and calibration of EV chargers.

  • Replacing faulty components and ensuring all repairs align with manufacturer guidelines.

  • Providing on-site technical support and training to clients.

  • Responding to service requests promptly and maintaining effective client communication.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical standards.

  • Participating in regular safety training and certifications.


Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:


  • Level 3 Electro-technical qualification.

  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment such as multimeters and voltage testers.

  • Valid UK driving licence.

  • Electrical certifications such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, G&G 2391/2394 Testing and Inspection (desirable).

  • Previous experience in a field service role, preferably in EV charging, renewable energy, or power electronics sectors (desirable).

  • EV charging station certification or manufacturer-specific training (desirable).

  • Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills.
