Senior Logistics Engineer

What you'll do

As a Senior Logistics Engineer, you'll be leading the creation of our global logistics strategy and the project management of a best-in-class automated logistics operation. This is a hybrid role with an office base in Coventry and some business travel within the UK and abroad.


Reporting into the Logistics Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Project manage the design and implementation of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRSs) and a large fleet of AGVs/AMRs across a highly automated facility.
  • Design and implement material flow operation for raw materials, finished goods and waste across the battery manufacturing facility.
  • Define and communicate the impact of logistics equipment and operations on building requirements (MEP and structural)

We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.

The team you'll join

The Process Engineering team is a dynamic group working across a range of areas such as electrode, cell assembly, FA&T (formation, ageing and testing), control and automation, manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing and logistics engineering. Being a relatively new team, you'll play a critical part in creating processes and help in building large-scale logistics facilities from the ground up.

What you'll bring

  • Project Management experience within highly automated logistics facilities.
  • Experience of vendor management to specify, commission and deliver logistics equipment, including ASRS and AGV/AMR systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics processes, tools and techniques.
  • Data analysis to derive cost benefits and business cases for decision making
  • Demonstrable ability to build relationships and work with cross functional teams
