We are recruiting Bar and Events Assistants on a temporary contract to join Coventry University Event and Operational Team, to delivery a high-end bar service and excellent customer service during Events and Sports Fixtures at their sites at Square One (Coventry Campus) and Westwood Heath (near Warwick University).As a Bar and Events Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:*Meet, great and welcome all customers in a polite manner*Processes all cash and card transactions*Deliver excellent customer service*Carry out bar duties in line with University responsible drinking guidelines (Challenge 21)*Being able to take orders and serve drinks*Pour and serve drinks accurately to maintain customer expectations and reduce product wastage*Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all customers and staff*Support the venues in event set up, delivery and pack down*Deal with customer complaints and in a prompt, profession and proactive manner*Report any maintenance or safety issues whilst on shiftSkills and experience required for the role:*Customer service experience essential, previous bar experience advantageous*Flexible*Organised*Good communication skills*Team Player*Able to work within a busy environment*Able to handle conflict, and work within a calm mannerHours/Pay Rate:Part time mainly evenings and weekends between Monday to Sunday£11.44 p/hTemporary until end of October 2024
