About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Engineer (Carpentry Bias) to join our team. This role involves carrying out general building fabric maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring the upkeep of facilities and compliance with health & safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a carpentry background with additional skills in general facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Building Fabric Maintenance:

  • Fitting/repairing architraves, doors, fire doors, and cubicles.
  • Repairing and replacing flooring and ceiling tiles.
  • Maintaining site furniture, storage solutions, and shelving.
  • Installing locks, door closers, and other door furniture.
  • Painting and decorating in a variety of finishes.
  • Assembling flat-packed office furniture.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Prioritizing and resolving maintenance requests within service level agreements.
  • Engaging in regular training and toolbox talks.
  • Keeping company vehicles clean and in good working condition.
  • Participating in on-call, weekend, and staggered work patterns as needed.

Essential Requirements:

Strong carpentry skills with experience in facilities maintenance.
Knowledge of building fabric repairs and maintenance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
