New Year - New Role? At GI Group, we are currently recruiting for Class 1 night drivers for our client in Coventry, CV5. With a focus on reliability and excellence in service, we are currently seeking a dedicated Class 1 Driver's to join us today for long-term work including the possibility of a temp-to-perm. Overview:* You will be specialising in container transport, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods. * You will be responsible for transporting containers to and from designated locations. * You must adhere to all road safety regulations and maintain high standards of professionalism. Shifts and Hours:* Monday to Friday (weekend work available) * Start Times: 15:00-18:00pm Rates of Pay:* Monday to Friday - £18.40 / £20.63 per hour with holiday pay included * PAYE ONLY Key Responsibilities:1. Safely operate and drive Class 1 vehicles for container transport.2. Ensure the secure loading and unloading of containers, adhering to safety guidelines.3. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and meet customer requirements.4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.6. Communicate effectively with dispatch, colleagues, and customers.7. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and all relevant legislation.Qualifications and Experience:1. Valid Class 1 driving license with relevant certifications.2. Previous experience in container transport essential. 3. Clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.5.
