Red Recruitment are looking for Forklift Reach Truck Operatorto join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring that shipping and receiving processes run smoothly, while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a warehouse management system.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct lifting and materials handling tasks as required, following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Valid D2 Reach Truck certification is essential; additional certifications for other equipment are advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks and handle materials safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in the workplace.
