Data Validation and Management Specialist – 39970 - £34.90/hr Umbrella

With a focus on hybrid and full electric powertrains, this role promises not just a job, but a career filled with excitement, challenges, and the satisfaction of contributing to the next generation of automotive excellence.What You Will Do:• Develop systems and tools using programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or Concerto to enhance data management and validation in physical testing environments.• Establish and manage data pipelines and storage on industrial cloud platforms, ensuring data security and accessibility.• Utilise Tableau or other data visualisation tools to present data in a clear and impactful manner.• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for data management and validation, creating and delivering training packages to improve data quality across the team.• Work closely with engineering stakeholders to influence analysis techniques and inform engineering decisions with complex data analysis, including hypothesis testing and uncertainty analysis.• Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for graphical data presentation and technical reporting.What You Will Bring:• Proficiency in designing applications in programming languages, preferably Python or Concerto.• Experience in building data systems & pipelines and managing data on cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.• A solid technical or theoretical understanding of physical measurement equipment and complex data analysis skills.• Technical knowledge of process, calculation and measurement techniques demanded by both engineering and legislative requirements.• Extensive knowledge of different testing environments data management and validation.• A degree in Natural Science, Mathematical, Engineering, or Computing disciplines.• Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification and experience in measurement science.

The role will require you to work cross functionally to deploy a common approach to data piping, data validation tools as well to build a federated data platform. You will be the Subject Matter Expert for data management and validation and deliver a training package to develop others in order to improve the data quality produced by the team.
