Business Developer - Coventry or Basildon (Hybrid) - £50,000 to £70,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

The objective of the Business Developer role is to maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, build up new customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and prepare proposals for potential customer projects.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain and develop relationships within the existing customer base, while establishing connections with new clients beyond the current portfolio
- Identify new business opportunities across various industries, enhancing the company's market presence
- Develop quotations and manage key accounts, ensuring extended relationships within these accounts and monitoring project delivery
- Independently scope out and calculate project requirements, with support from technical teams and senior management
- Prepare project proposals, present to customers, and conduct follow-up negotiations
- Understand future challenges faced by customers and identify how the company can support in addressing these challenges
What You Will Bring:
- A degree-level technical education, with a keen eye for engineering projects within the automotive industry, especially in electrification or decarbonisation
- A customer-focused approach, capable of resolving customer-related concerns to mutual satisfaction
- Proven experience in project scoping, calculation, and proposal preparation
- Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment with multiple customers
- Experience with sales tools and software, for example Salesforce.com
