Salary:

£600.00 - £700.00 Per day, via an Umbrella, inside of IR35 scope. 

Job Duties:
  • Develop and implement category strategies to optimise procurement processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements
  • Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Track and report key performance indicators related to category management
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role
  • Demonstrable expertise in procurement and supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of procurement best practises and market trends
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation and supplier management
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Sector exeperience isn't key, although an understanding of regulated categories would be an advantage 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification
Working Conditions:

The role is 3 days office based (Coventry) with two days working from homr.
