The company you will be working for is a family-run business established in 1964. Based in Coventry and consistently delivered outstanding results in property & development, construction, and strategic land projects. With a diverse portfolio that includes a broad range of projects and sectors, we are at the forefront of the industry, handling projects with a value of up to £20 million.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join a growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the project development, ensuring accurate cost estimates that align with the business strategic goals. If you have a passion for construction and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects.
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
  • Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs and industry trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid submissions and proposals.
  • Provide support during negotiations and project handover.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost management.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
