IT Infrastructure Engineer - Coventry

IT Infrastructure Engineer Location: CoventrySalary: £45,000

My client is a fast-growing logistics company based in Coventry, providing cutting-edge solutions to streamline and optimise supply chain operations. As they continue to expand, they are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT team. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their IT systems that underpin our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems.* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.* Lead infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.* Manage network configurations, firewalls, VPNs, and other security protocols to safeguard data and IT systems.* Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, resolving complex hardware, software, and networking issues.* Oversee the installation and configuration of new hardware and software systems.* Keep up to date with the latest technologies and infrastructure trends to continually improve IT systems.

Skills & Experience:

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a similar role.* Strong knowledge of network systems (LAN/WAN), virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).* Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers, firewalls, VPNs, and other network security tools.* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
