Our client are seeking an Analytical Measurement Technician to join there Analytical Measurement Technology Team, a key part of the Powertrain Facilities Department.

This role involves maintaining, calibrating, and diagnosing faults in measurement equipment across a cutting-edge emissions testing environment.

Pay:

  • 26.00 per hour

THIS ROLE IS A 3-6 MONTH CONTRACT AND IS OUTSIDE IR35

Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and fault rectification on measurement equipment, including:
  • Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS)
  • Chassis Dyno Test Cells
  • Engine Testing Facilities
  • Ensure accurate vehicle and engine emissions measurements.
  • Maintain processes to uphold productive capability and facility quality.
  • Plan, coordinate, and control your own workload to meet testing requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering customers, test facility operators, suppliers, and external agencies to maintain testing continuity.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to established international standards for laboratory accreditation.

Requirements:

  • Strong fault diagnosis and rectification skills.
  • Emissions, mechanical, and electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ability to validate, prepare, and interpret electrical/mechanical/flow diagrams.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments and COSHH.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality results with robust planning and self-motivation.

Working hours/Schedule:

  • Mon - Fri 40 Hours per week

  • Overtime every other week Rotating between Sat/Sun
