Job Title: CNC Machine Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location: Coventry, UK

Job Description: A busy and dynamic subcontract manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in programming, setting, and operating CNC machines and will play a crucial role in ensuring precision and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC Lathes Daewoo Puma / Lynx with Fanuc controllers and live tooling (Lynx).
  • Program, set, and operate Haas CNC Machining Centres.
  • Program, set, and operate Studer S31 CNC Grinder using Studer WIN.
  • Produce CNC Programs using SolidWorks and SolidCam from customer-supplied drawings / 3D models.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Produce prototypes and small production runs.
  • Perform self-inspection of all machined components to ensure conformity.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Work efficiently to meet customer deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members while demonstrating initiative and self-reliance.
  • Ensure customer focus and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) integrity.
  • Comply with AS9100D:2016 QMS requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator in a precision manufacturing environment, including turning, milling, and grinding.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
  • Experience in small batch work and handling complex parts.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet customer deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-inspection capabilities.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
