The Role
We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join A Precision engineering company at their manufacturing facility in the West Midlands. Working with Aerospace, Automotive & Oil & Gas industries this opportunity offers development and progression.
What will you be doing?
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Leadwell and Doosan models).
- Work with Fanuc programming language to ensure accurate machining of components.
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Machine components from challenging metals, including Stainless Steel, Nimonics, and Inconel, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
What will you bring to the party?
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with a strong background in 5-axis machining
- Proficiency in setting and operating CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
- Ability to interpret and work to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with machining high-performance materials such as Stainless Steel, Nimonics, and Inconel.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality components.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
