The company you will be working for is a family-run business established in 1964. Based in Coventry and consistently delivered outstanding results in property & development, construction, and strategic land projects. With a diverse portfolio that includes a broad range of projects and sectors, we are at the forefront of the industry, handling projects with a value of up to 20 million.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join a growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the project development, ensuring accurate cost estimates that align with the business strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects.
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
- Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on material costs and industry trends.
- Assist in the preparation of bid submissions and proposals.
- Provide support during negotiations and project handover.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost management.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
