Job Summary:

A Residential Conveyancer Solicitor, CILEX, CLC (or someone with equivalent experience) is sought to manage residential conveyancing matters while also leading a small team. The role involves direct client interaction, case management, and supporting business development initiatives within the Property Department. The position is based in Coventry, with occasional travel to other offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Residential Conveyancing: Handle cases including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, shared ownership, and leasehold matters.
  • Team Management: Supervise and support other fee earners and administrative staff.
  • Client and Third-Party Interaction: Regular communication with clients, intermediaries, and HM Land Registry.
  • File Management: Adhere to Lexcel and CQS standards, complete audits and ensure work is completed within budget.
  • Business Development: Proactively seek new business opportunities and contribute to team and firm growth.
  • Continuing Professional Development: Participate in relevant training, including CQS and other compulsory courses.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, CILEX, CLC, or similar (minimum 3 years' residential conveyancing experience).
  • Experience: Managing residential conveyancing caseloads, knowledge of CQS protocols and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Teamwork & Leadership: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and develop a small team.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with case management systems (Tikit preferred) and MS Windows.
  • Other: A driving license and use of own vehicle for travel between offices.
