We are currently seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team for a commercial construction project. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, assembling, and repairing pipes that carry water, gas, air, or other liquids and materials. The role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for commercial buildings, including HVAC, water, gas, and drainage systems.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the piping systems.
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to specific measurements, using hand tools or power tools.
- Secure pipes with brackets, clamps, and hangers to ensure stability and alignment.
- Perform welding, soldering, and brazing to join pipes and fittings when necessary.
- Test pipe systems for leaks and other malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Work closely with other trades (mechanical, electrical, and general contractors) to ensure project timelines and coordination.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any project updates.
Qualifications:
- Valid CSCS card
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter, with commercial construction experience.
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques and installation methods for various systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient with pipefitting tools and equipment (e.g., pipe benders, cutters, welding equipment).
- In-depth understanding of safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
