Job Description:

Our classroom delivery model offers face to face cohort delivery of groups of 15 - 25 on focussed 2-week courses. Depending on the needs of the learners, additional trainers may support the course. However we are now moving to more remote training and delivering. The expectation will be for you to take full ownership of Teaching, Learning and Assessment and the delivery of the wider curriculum (PREVENT, British Values, Safeguarding etc.)

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Vocational Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding vocational training and assessing learners' progress towards achieving their qualifications/learning objectives. As a Vocational Trainer/Assessor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on learners' lives and contribute to building their future success.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Tutor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver vocational qualifications in Employability skills
  • Completion of attendance registers and the updating of learner profiles
  • Managing classroom pace and discipline
  • Assess learners' competence and progress
  • Provide training in CV development and interview skills
  • Offer guidance on sector-specific skills (construction, health and social care, non-teaching roles in schools, civil service, IT etc) - all will be beneficial but a combination of or experience in one would be acceptable
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures

Requirements:

  • Relevant vocational qualification in Employability or related field
  • Recognised assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA, AVA, A1, D32/33)
  • Proven experience in delivering vocational training
  • Strong knowledge of CV writing and interview techniques
  • Familiarity with at least one sector-specific area (construction, health and social care, education, or civil service)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage diverse groups of learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS)
  • Industry experience in one or more sector-specific areas
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification (e.g., V1, IQA)

This will be a remote role. All our courses are 2 weeks long so you must be able to also commit to these time frames.Our recruitment process evaluates both technical and behavioural qualities.
