A college in Coventry is seeking to enhance their Additional Learning Support (ALS) team by appointing a dedicated Dyslexic Coordinator and Exams Access Arrangements (EAA) Assessor. This role involves conducting initial assessments, creating support plans for learners with Dyslexia, and ensuring the implementation of exam concessions in collaboration with various teams.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct initial assessments for learners with Dyslexia, tailoring support plans to meet individual needs.
  • Ensure that exam concessions are effectively implemented by coordinating with the ALS, Exams, and Curriculum teams.
  • Work closely with the ALS team to foster a culture where developing student skills with assistive technology is standard practice.
  • Maintain a caseload of young people, setting targets to address barriers to learning and support achievement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 7 in Assessing for Access and a current Assessment Practising Certificate.
  • Proven experience in completing EAAs for learners with additional needs.
