Coventry City Centre 

Salary £25,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

We are working with awell-established, Lexcel accredited, Legal 500-recognised law firm who are looking to attract a number of  Debt Recovery/Small Claims Litigation Fee Earnersto join their busy team in Coventry city centre.

Training contracts or SQE training will be offered following a successful 6-month probation period. 

The role will involve:

  • Running a caseload of debt recovery matters
  • Dealing with small claims defences
  • Preparing witness statements / bundles 
  • Taking calls from clients
  • Taking instructions from clients
  • Assisting senior solicitors
  • Use of market leading, cutting-edge software/technology

Suitable Candidates will have:

  • Previous debt recovery experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of using legal case management systems
  • Degree level education (essential)
  • LPC/LLM or equivalent level education (desirable)
  • A desire to qualify as a solicitor and specialise in litigation work

This is a full-time permanent job, working 9.00am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday. 

The role will initially be fully office-based. Hybrid working will be available in the longer term. The firm is very well set up for home-working,  however there is no guaranteed time-frame, as this will depend on each individual's progress and capability.

  • Double screens for all employees, to assist with comparing and drafting documentation

  • Paid annual leave entitlement, plus an additional 2 days' leave over the Christmas shut down period at directors' discretion
  • Training contract or SQE training guaranteed following a satisfactory probation period (6 months)
