The role of a Credit Controller is pivotal within a financial team, requiring a blend of skills to manage customer accounts effectively. A candidate with at least five years of experience in credit control would be well-equipped to handle the full spectrum of duties, such as

  • Processing debit and credit payments
  • Managing monthly statements and debt collection reporting
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Query resolution

Proficiency in Sage 50 and strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, are highly desirable to maintain organization and accuracy in this fast-paced role.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients.

A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure are essential, as is reliability and a full UK Driving License due to the location of sites.

This role is not just about managing outstanding debts but also about taking pride in the efficient and effective administration of accounts, ensuring credit insurance is set up and administered, and forecasting expected cash flows to support the financial health and sustainability of the trading companies.
