Credit Controller - Temp to Perm - up to £32,000 - Coventry

The Role

As a Credit Controller, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth management of customer debt and maintaining healthy financial operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Debt Management: Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure adherence to agreed credit terms and company policies.
  • Customer Relationships: Maintain regular contact with customers to address any payment queries or issues, ensuring timely resolution and fostering strong relationships.
  • Credit Assessment: Conduct credit checks for new business opportunities and existing customers, ensuring payment terms align with company policies.
  • Issue Escalation: Collaborate with internal commercial teams to escalate and resolve problematic accounts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Reporting: Produce regular, accurate accounts receivable reports with ageing analysis, ensuring the business has clear visibility of outstanding debts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements by leveraging automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency in credit control operations.
About You

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a credit control, finance, or accounting role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly during busy periods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial IT systems.
  • A passion for digitisation and automation, with a desire to improve processes.
