The RoleAs a Credit Controller, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth management of customer debt and maintaining healthy financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Debt Management: Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure adherence to agreed credit terms and company policies.
- Customer Relationships: Maintain regular contact with customers to address any payment queries or issues, ensuring timely resolution and fostering strong relationships.
- Credit Assessment: Conduct credit checks for new business opportunities and existing customers, ensuring payment terms align with company policies.
- Issue Escalation: Collaborate with internal commercial teams to escalate and resolve problematic accounts in a timely and effective manner.
- Reporting: Produce regular, accurate accounts receivable reports with ageing analysis, ensuring the business has clear visibility of outstanding debts.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements by leveraging automation and digital tools to enhance efficiency in credit control operations.
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 2 years of experience in a credit control, finance, or accounting role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly during busy periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial IT systems.
- A passion for digitisation and automation, with a desire to improve processes.
- A positive and collaborative attitude, aligned with values of care, innovation, and delivery.
