We are recruiting a part time Switchboard Operator to join Coventry University Estates Team.You will be providing a professional switchboard service for callers to the Group, ensuring all calls are dealt with efficiently and helpfully ensuring the caller needs are met and appropriate information has been provided.Hours are Monday - FridayAfternoon shift : 12.30pm - 5pmAs a Switchboard Operator, your main responsibilities will be:*Handle all incoming calls into the Group during working hours*Maintain up to date telephone records*Maintain up to date knowledge of the Group, including internal organisation, in order to direct callers to appropriate locations or sources for further help*Following the Group procedures and practices and carry out any appropriate administrative or maintenance work associated with the normal duties*Record any observed problems with the switchboard equipment and ensure that they are promptly reported*Provide a high level of customer care at all times when dealing with and communicating with customers*Provide support where necessary for a professional and well-maintained reception and for department events and open daysSkills and Experience required for the role:*Previous switchboard / telephone system experience*Excellent telephone manner*Excellent customer service*Professional*Excellent communication skills*IT literate*Organisational skillsHours / Salary:Monday to FridayAfternoon shift : 12.30pm - 5pm£11.44 p/hIf you feel you have the necessary skills, apply today!
