Do you have experience in a Sales Support or Customer Service role? Are you confident and professional communicating on the phone and in emails? Do you have good IT and data input skills? Do you thrive in a busy deadline driven environment? Can you demonstrate initiative?

We have been retained to find a Sales Support Assistant for a growing and profitable supplier of products to the industrial, engineering and building sectors.

This is an additional role in a small collaborative team and has been created to support an expanding customer base and increasing sales orders.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Be the first line of contact for customers, providing outstanding customer service whilst confidently and competently communicating by phone and email.
  • Monitor and manage the sales order inbox, responding to all orders and enquiries in a timely, professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Process orders every day on the system, sense checking content.
  • Liaise with the Transport team to ensure timely deliveries and confirm all details to customers in order acknowledgements.
  • Respond to customer complaints and queries in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage customer orders to ensure they are up-to-date with relevant quantity and product price information, communicating with customers and internal Account Managers on progress of orders.

The role requires a focussed approach, staying alert and on the ball, with good attention to detail and accuracy. Strong relationship skills are essential for working with customers and internal colleagues in other functions within the company.

The company is based on the Birmingham side of Coventry and is well placed for the Coventry train stations and bus routes.

The salary on offer will be negotiable depending on what skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the position.
