Store person/ General Operative
Duties and responsibilities of theStore person/ General Operative
- Receive, check and sign for all deliveries made to site
- Take deliveries and manage the loading dock and store rooms
- Unload & load lorries/vans
- Check deliveries against delivery notes and for quality, quantities & damage or missing items
- Checking stock levels regularly
- Completing the required paperwork when booking in & Keeping paperwork up to date
- Updating stock information on the computer system
- Comparing items received against items ordered
- Implementing or improving processes and procedures
- Compiling daily reports and addressing inventory discrepancies
- Performing random checks and audits
- Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Ability to work accurately and methodically
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality
- Facilitating the flow of materials between various parties and departments
- Streamlining interdepartmental communication
- Working with site managers to collect relevant information about job status
- General packing requirements ensuring preservation of products
