Our client, a leading company specialising in providing innovative solutions for the rail industry is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry. As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electrical control and distribution panel projects, from initial concept through to completion. You will provide technical support to both our internal shop floor personnel and external customers, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards.

The Package:

40,000-45,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and produce electrical control and distribution panels, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client specifications
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including design, technical specifications, purchasing, quality control, after-care support, and testing
Provide expert troubleshooting and support for electrical systems, offering practical solutions to ensure project success
Work closely with various departments to ensure smooth project delivery, including providing technical guidance to shop floor personnel.

Requirements:
Strong understanding and experience in working with low voltage systems
Extensive experience with the entire product design lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing, ideally within a safety-critical industry
Solid knowledge of power distribution systems and related technologies
A passion for developing innovative and creative design solutions
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments
Strong IT skills, particularly in design and engineering software
