Typical duties will involve:

  • Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults on robotic cells, conveyor systems, AGVs, and EMS systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement (CI/Kaizen) initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborating with contractors on new equipment installations and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
  • Working with PLC systems (Siemens TIA) and ABB robotics, making programming adjustments to improve performance.

Experience desired:

  • HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Time-served apprenticeship covering electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems (NVQ Level 3 minimum).
  • Experience in PLC fault finding.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics, automated systems, and industrial control systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
