Project Manager - Commercial Solar

Alecto Recruitment are partnering with a Commercial and Industrial Solar PV specialist who operate UK wide, who are now looking to appoint a Commercial Solar Project Manager due to continued growth.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and delivering new commercial contracts across various sectors.
The ideal person will have a proven record in the renewable energy sector, specifically in delivering large ground and roof mount solar projects up to 20mW and sometimes beyond. This may also include EV, car ports and BESS - battery storage.
You must possess a deep understanding of the commercial dynamics in industries such as Manufacturing, Warehousing, Industrial, Agriculture, and Retail, with responsibility for solar plant performance, optimisation of the site and for maintaining equipment availability.
Key Activities:
- Develop project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet project milestones.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and technical specifications.
- Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, senior management team, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Resolve any issues or obstacles that may arise during project execution.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s).
- Competent in required project methodology.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Submits project status reports to stakeholders working to the agreed timelines.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with Solar or Renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and the renewable energy market.
- Project management certification such as PMP/Prince2 is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
