Controls Engineer responsibilities include -
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing processes.
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Siemens S7, TIA) to enhance plant efficiency and address production issues.
- Continuously refine control systems to improve cycle times and reliability while adhering to established programming standards for PLCs and robotic systems.
- Mentor and train other team members on PLC programming and automation best practices.
Controls Engineer desirable skills and experience -
- Experience working in a similar role (Automation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer etc).
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and techniques.
- Confident in writing and fault-finding PLC programs using the Siemens S7 / TIA portal.
- Electrical engineering education (HNC/HNC) or relevant training.
