We are working with a key client who sits within the ground investigation arena, a key player within an industry where they are at the forefront of development and opportunity. With this in mind our client is now eager to recruit an experienced geotechnical estimator, where this person will focus on geotechnical investigation.

Key expectations will be compiling and submitting tenders, ensuring all tender correspondence is recorded and logged, reviewing contents of tender preparation, preparing queries and clarifications and also dealing with subcontract tender submissions.

Key daily tasks will be -

* Prepare bills of quantities, schedule of rates for tender applications.

* Keep close track on mark ups and margins for each project.

* Be involved heavily with the pr-construction team.

* Attend pre-contract meetings, speak with construction professionals.

* Review and submit the majority of pre-construction tenders.

* Report daily and weekly to the Estimating Manager.

The key candidate needs to be someone with 2-3 years site experience in ground engineering fulfilling an estimating role. Possess knowledge and flare for construction industry, ideally possess contracts (ICE and NEC) experience.

In order to be successful - the geotechnical or structural engineering background is essential, along with the estimating knowledge. If you have been quantity surveyor and possess geotechnical experience - then our client would been to speak with you. The ability to write cost proposals, and ensure deadlines are met.

IT skills are essential for the success of this role, must be comfortable with Team,s, Excel, Outlook and Dynamics 365, in addition be comfortable with a lot of bid and tnswer platforms.

Our client has offices in the North of England, Midland and also London - predominately this role will be based out of the Midlands, however our client does offer a full hybrid solution, meaning the successful person can work very remote, visiting site and office only when needed, offering a home work solution.
