Commercial Finance Manager

Macildowie Finance are working with a large, multinational, Coventry based business to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager. Our client is a fast paced and highly dynamic organisation, this business works with a number of instantly recognisable household brands and operates at the forefront of their respective industry. You will be joining them at an exciting point in their corporate development and will be involved in owning and driving several key business initiatives where your inputs will be highly visible and well rewarded. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance you will be responsible for supporting commercial and operational teams with the production of KPI's and your performance commentary, budgets, forecasts and decision support analytics. A key task for this role will be the initial redesign and subsequent continuous improvement of the reporting suite provided to the business. You will be tasked with enhancing the reporting suite to provide more timely, accurate and most importantly impactful reporting. You will be driving the business forward by enriching the commentary provided, living constantly in the "So What?" and "What Next?", there is a massive opportunity to make an instant and sustained impact on the future outlook of the business.

Your responsibilities will include; Act as a true Finance Business Partner - delivering reports in a clear and concise manner, helping non finance stakeholder to interpret financial performance metrics and act upon the commentary you provide.Management, coaching and development of a small team of analysts.Variance analysis - highlighting areas for potential improvement, providing commentary on key drivers and enabling the operational and commercial teams to upon on these analyses and drive the business forward.Sales and cost analysis and reporting - highlighting opportunities to improve business performance through efficiency gains.Continuous improvement of processes and projects in line with wider business initiativesPreparation and presentation of key performance statistics to senior level operational stakeholders.To be considered for this role you must be qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Previous staff management experience is essential.You must have advanced data manipulation/ Excel skills including Pivots, Look Ups and Ifs. Experience of Power BI would be advantageous. Experience of driving business value in a Commercial Finance role is essential you will be inquisitive, analytically minded and have excellent stakeholder management skills.
