RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded organisation based in Coventry in their search for an outstanding Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time or part-time, permanent basis. Our client offers a flexible and supportive working environment, including a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office per week and the remainder working remotely.

You wil support the Finance Director and assume full responsibility of the day-to-day running of the month end processes and reports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Produce monthly management account packs including P&L, cashflow and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including tax obligations, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and governance.
  • Lead on audits, both internal and external, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
  • Manage financial risks by implementing effective controls and monitoring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring proactive adaptation.
  • Supervise and support the finance team, fostering professional growth and development.

Person Specification

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the third sector.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Technology: Proficient in financial management software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and MS Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive and strategic mindset.
