Marks Sattin are working with a leading multisite organisation in Coventry to recruit a Head of FP&A. The position is a hybrid working role, with 3 days expected in the offices therefore applicants must be within a commutable distance The position is a newly defined role which will report to the Group Finance Director, with a dotted line to the CFO and will oversee the team of Finance Analysts. The Head of FP&A will be a dynamic individual with experience running the financial planning and reporting process within a fast paced multisite business. The Head of FP&A role will be an individual with fantastic interpersonal skills, influencing and negotiating skills as you will present monthly results and forecast expectations to the Executive team.Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the financial and planning processes, overseeing the full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow, providing well-informed financial decision making that will improve the company's financial performance.
  • Managing the development of systems, processes and reporting to drive forward the team's support to the wider business.
  • Evaluating opportunities to drive revenue growth, and ensure smooth alignment of processes across the organisation providing clear communication of overall risks and opportunities.
  • Leading and developing the team to achieve and exceed their business goals.
  • Manage requests from HQ around the provision of information and strategy.
  • Manage and Lead Ad-hoc projects that are required with a Finance and Strategic focus.
  • Be part of and contribute to the success of the Commercial Leadership Team and contribute to the strategic direction of the business.
  • Work closely with senior staff to ensure adherence to guidelines and accounting standards and achieve department goals for continuous improvement.

To be considered you must be:

  • A Qualified Accountant - (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experienced in FP&A within a fast paced, multisite organisation
  • Commercially astute with the ability to see the bigger picture to drive the business forward
  • Experienced managing a team
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to challenge, influence, negotiate and present to the Exec Team
  • Commutable to the location as this will be a hybrid working role
