Our utilities sector client is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner for an initial 6 month contract. The role is based in Coventry and offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office per week. The role is paying in the circa of £600-£650 per day - Inside IR35, possible flexibility on rate DOE.

This is a senior commercial finance role and is critical to driving the financial performance of the Customer Solutions directorate. Responsible for significant operating expenditure, this role requires strong commercial drive and acumen, and the ability to support critical business decision making with brilliant multi-dimensional insight. You will drive an outperformance culture through delivering sustainable cost reduction opportunities and holding the operational teams to account for their financial performance. You will do this through your excellent insight and influencing skills.

Key Accountabilities:

- Designing and embedding plans to outperform the budget and business plan targets for PBIT, TOTEX and ODIs.- Acting as the Financial Director for Customer Solutions and a member of the CS SMT team, partnering the CS Director.- Robust challenge of departmental budgets and forecasts to ensure credibility and deliverability, challenge of existing practices and identification of opportunities to improve performance and drive efficiencies.- Provide accurate forecasts, which are updated within month to provide the insight to the Operational teams to course-correct and deliver their numbers for the year and AMP.- Provide accurate, timely analysis and insight on monthly, annual and AMP performance against targets on outputs and finances.- Take personal accountability for challenging and driving action where performance is off track.- Identify key risks and opportunities to annual and AMP performance commitments and drive delivery teams to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.- Create and motivate a team who have the skills, experience and drive to support the operational teams, to enable critical, value-based decision-making, identify and implement efficiencies at pace and improve financial controls.

Key experience needed:

- Stakeholder Management- Strong communication skills- Full Qualified – ACCA/ACA/CIMA- SAP and Excel- Strong analytical mindset - for monthly and annual targets- Forecasting- Line management experience
