A Lead CAS Modeller is required to join a Coventry based OEM, you will work within a vehicle concepts group and be part of a team who are responsible for the development of new vehicle concepts and early phase definition of the next generation electric vehicles. The Lead CAS Modeller will create and release surfaces that faithfully capture design intent.

As Lead CAS Modeller - you will be required to

  • Support Interior and Exterior Surfacing Managers by effectively managing project inputs and outputs
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Interior and Exterior CAS teams on behalf of the Surfacing Managers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall project goal
  • To create and release surfaces that faithfully capture design intent. Surfaces are aesthetically-optimised and to a high quality of execution that meet specified standards
  •  To assist the creative process by interpreting 2D sketches into 3D data for design iteration and approval
  • Sketch 3D Surfaces to aid aesthetic Design development
  • Create initial theme proposals to support aesthetic and feasibility studies
  • Create surfaces of themes for engineering feasibility verification
  • Create surface release for design approval
  • Create surface release that provide foundation for production surfacing activity

As Lead CAS Modeller - you will have

  • Degree qualified or equivalent with proven experience in creative & technical digital surface creation using Alias
  • Proven experience as an CAS Modeller
  • Experience of working with engineering inputs
  • Ability to interpret design sketches to create appropriate surface proposals
  • Can plan time to meet given deadlines
