Requirements:
- D1 on driving licence
- need to undertake our defensive driving and national standard MIDAS driving course
- Enhanced DBS which has been registered on the update service
- 20 hours a week working 4 hours a day which includes a split shift of 2 hours in the morning and afternoon. These roles are term-time only.If you cannot adhere to these shifts please do not apply.
What is the job role:
The job involves providing transportation for some of our most vulnerable people across Coventry. This can involve manual handling large wheelchairs and loading
them on and off the minibuses. You will be dealing with a range of challenging behaviors potentially on a daily basis. Continuity is a vital part of the
service that our client provides and they endeavour to keep the same driver and passenger assistant on the vehicle. In summary, the role involves the following
tasks:
- Undertake all driving duties in allocated vehicles as instructed by the office team
- Pick up service users and transport them to their point of destination using the vehicle in a safe, secure and caring manner.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent service users from causing harm to themselves and/or others.
- Complete all paperwork as requested.
- Be punctual, adaptable and reliable.

- Respect all clients and treat them with sensitivity and dignity at all times.
- Be flexible in working contracted hours over a standard
- working day and over a 5-day working week on a rota.
