About The Role:

They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bodyshop Technician / Panel Beater to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with both power and hand tools. As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs
Use power tools and hand tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle panels
Replace or repair damaged panels and components as required
Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and priming as needed
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools are stored correctly after use
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Candidate must be able to repair panels and various dent sizes.
Must strip and fit.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use various power tools and hand tools effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
