About The Role:
They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bodyshop Technician / Panel Beater to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with both power and hand tools. As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs
- Use power tools and hand tools to remove dents, scratches, and other imperfections from vehicle panels
- Replace or repair damaged panels and components as required
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and priming as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools are stored correctly after use
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Candidate must be able to repair panels and various dent sizes.
- Must strip and fit.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use various power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
