Job Title: Progression Coach

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annumContract and Hours: Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week over 5 daysLocation: Coventry

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Progression Coach to engage with referral agencies and employers to source participants for our clients ASF, Path2, and Foundation Skills Contracts across Coventry and Warwickshire. In this role, you will be responsible for securing work placements, vacancies, and education progressions for participants, ensuring these are sustained progression routes. You will also manage a caseload of participants, providing support from induction through to their sustained progression.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of participants while working collaboratively with employers and internal teams to achieve impactful results.

Key Responsibilities:

Participant Engagement and Support

  • Source eligible referrals onto our programmes.
  • Provide 1:1 and group guidance and support to participants, ensuring they are fully prepared for placements and progressions.
  • Manage a caseload of participants, recording information on their progress and monitoring outcomes to ensure their success.
  • Support participants in achieving their individual action plans, sourcing relevant work placements and progressions.
  • Deliver high-quality case management and ensure participants’ journeys are positive and impactful.

Employer and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Source work placement and progression opportunities with local employers in line with contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, stakeholders, and referral agencies to promote the provision.
  • Represent the organisation positively at meetings, networking events, and outreach activities.

Administrative and Compliance Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records on relevant IT systems.
  • Ensure all data collection and documentation meet compliance requirements.
  • Support delivery staff and colleagues to develop the provision and enhance participant outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services by sharing expertise and insights with the team.

Professional Development

  • Undertake training and development as agreed with the line manager.
  • Play an active role in developing a positive image of the organisation and upholding our values.

Essential/Desirable Criteria:

  • Proven track record in recruitment, sales, or participant engagement.
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders, referral agencies, and employers.
  • Tenacious and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach to achieving results.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining a team-focused mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Competencies

  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as employment or education-based coaching.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market in Coventry, and Warwickshire.
  • Familiarity with working within funded training contracts.
