About the role:
As our RAQ Technician, you will be responsible for routine and non-routine testing of products, release product for sale, interpret results and trouble shooting.
Duties include:
Operate and manage testing equipment
Maintain and archive product related documents to ensure consistency and compliance
Effectively manage and document any issues raised, ensuring that they are dealt with in a timely manner and to a successful conclusion
Perform physical, chemical and wet chemistry laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations, product development, product registrations and routine product release.
Follow and adhere to strict safety procedures and safety checks
Packaging testing
Maintenance of laboratory equipment and reagents, including ordering
Produce reports on test results and work in progress to ensure all departments are up to date with progress and results
Ensure that calibrated equipment is always used
Update and maintain accurate and clear standard operating procedures
Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers and service providers
Monitor laboratory conditions and ensure that testing is performed under the correct conditions
Ensure that routine and non-routine testing is completed within tight deadlines
Responsible for material release from Raw Material to Final Product
Process samples and arrange external analysis, including receiving results
Testing and release of silver products.
Inspect and release sterile product including the manual lifting of boxes, stacking of pallets and movement of pallets in the sterile product storage area
Test and analyse sterile product and packaging
Calibration of equipment and maintenance of calibration records
Perform microbiological environmental monitoring of Plant areas using contact and settle plates, swabs and air sampler
Log results onto worksheets for trend analysis
Approval of test records for trained methods
Delivery of training
Performing routine Laboratory stock take
Any other duties as requested by the Company
Compliance responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to the relevant medical device standards and carry out all Quality Control activities in accordance with issued procedures, highlighting any non-compliant activities to the RAQ Manager - QC.

Required
Science qualification and/or laboratory experience
Good written and verbal communication, problem solving and team working skills
Excellent numerical skills
Ability to pay good attention to detail
Strong organisational skills
High degree of self-motivation and a will to succeed
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
MS Office including Excel
Desirable
Experience of working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharma etc
Experience of working in ISO 13485 environment
Awareness of relevant HSE issues and general laboratory practices
