What You'll Be Doing:- Working as part of an Integrated Development Team, focused on developing and delivering next-generation submarine systems
- Leading Product Safety activities across multiple systems throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Supporting hazard identification and analysis studies to mitigate risks
- Assisting with or generating detailed safety reports
- Ensuring adherence to the project Safety Management System
- Collaborating with other development teams and the Safety Team to maintain the highest safety standards
- Degree (2:2 or above) in Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's)
- Understanding of Safety and Systems Engineering and Engineering Lifecycle Management
- Experience working collaboratively in a team, while also being capable of working independently
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and customer expectations
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Practical experience in Product Safety Engineering within the maritime defence sector is preferred, but experience in other industries will also be considered
