You'll collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure they meet their Health and Safety responsibilities, thereby ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Additionally, you'll offer top-notch Health and Safety advice and support to the University community.

Develop Emergency Response Plans: Create and implement plans for responding to workplace emergencies, such as fires, chemical spills, and natural disasters.

Promote a Safety Culture: Encourage a workplace culture that prioritises safety through regular communication, incentives, and recognition of safe practices.

Monitor Compliance: Regularly check that employees follow safety policies and procedures, and take corrective action when necessary.

Coordinate with External Agencies: Liaise with local authorities, and regulatory bodies
Profile

NE-BOSH Certificate: Required qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.

Relevant Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Regulation Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

Communication Skills: Excellent in training and conveying safety protocols.

Investigation Skills: Proficient in conducting risk assessments and investigations.
