LTF Recruitment is in search of a patient and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school situated in the Willenhall area of Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children on the Autism spectrum. The position involves delivering one-on-one support to two Key Stage 1 students, both of whom have ASD as well as Speech and Language Communication Needs, assisting them individually and together as a pair. The role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in providing one-on-one support to children.
  • Knowledge or experience working with children who have ASD, Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN), and non-verbal communication requirements.
  • Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or a degree in a related field.
  • Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team.
