Flourish Education is seeking a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support two children in KS1 who are non-verbal and have complex needs at a 'Good'-rated Ofsted school near Willenhall.

This role is perfect for a dedicated professional with experience working with children with SEND. You will provide support to the children who are mainly based in the school's nurture room. The children are non-verbal and are in school for mornings only

The role is a mornings only role 8.30-13.00, Monday-Friday and will continue until the end of the current school year and will continue into the next school year for the right person.

This SEND Teaching Assistant Job Role:

Supporting the Class Teacher with delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

Working with the pupils in the school's nurture room

Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson planning.

Helping maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive and productive school day.

Delivering interventions in the schools' resource base.

Required Skills and experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK Primary School.

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare, teaching assistance, or equivalent.

A solid understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Strong experience with Challenging behaviour
