We are seeking a proactive and flexible HR Manager to deliver high-quality HR services, ensuring compliance with company procedures, policies, and employment legislation. This role is integral to supporting all employees and managers, driving best practice within the organisation, and is a key member of the management team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee employee performance metrics, such as attendance and sick leave.
  • Handle disciplinary processes and formal grievances, and provide advice and coaching to line managers.
  • Conduct appraisal meetings and manage the company’s appraisal system.
  • Design and implement training programs based on assessed needs.
  • Review and set pay structures, and manage employee perks and benefits.
  • Coordinate with the outsourced payroll provider for monthly payroll processing.
  • Manage leave processes including Paternity, Maternity, and Shared Parental Leave.
  • Oversee pension renewals, payments, and manage claims; conduct annual reviews of providers.
  • Maintain the Group Healthcare Plan.
  • Ensure all HR documents and policies are up-to-date and legally compliant.
  • Manage apprentices and trainees, supporting line managers.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness through regular surveys.
  • Manage the HR budget and advise on day-to-day people issues.
  • Oversee the Time & Attendance system ensuring GDPR compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Confidentiality and flexibility with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with a proactive approach.
  • Effective communication skills, resilience, and the ability to work well in a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and HR procedures and policies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
  • Strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • CPP or CIPD qualified to Level 7.
