Firmware Test Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Firmware Test Engineer to join their team for a maternity cover position lasting between 6 to 9 months. If you have a passion for quality assurance and a knack for testing firmware and software applications in industrial settings, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough testing of firmware and software applications utilised in industrial environments, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.Perform manual testing of new firmware and software functionalities, following and adapting existing test scripts as necessary.Collaborate closely with developers in the R&D team to provide constructive feedback on issues and enhancements discovered during testing.Utilise Python scripting skills to enhance automated testing processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness in testing operations.Develop a solid understanding of industrial water and wastewater processes, including familiarity with protocols such as Modbus and TCP/IP, as well as 4G communication technologies, to ensure comprehensive testing.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in firmware and software testing, particularly in industrial applications.Strong manual testing skills, with the ability to adapt and create test scripts.Familiarity with Python scripting to support automated testing initiatives.Knowledge of industrial water and wastewater processes and related communication protocols is highly desirable.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a proactive approach to working within a team.
