About the roleAs the UK’s second largest Building Society, the Coventry is in the process of agreeing a deal to acquire the Co-operative Bank (“the bank”).The acquisition, which is of significant scale, would result in the Society becoming a category 1 firm for regulatory purposes. Integration activities are likely to be substantial and extend across a period of at least two years post deal completion. Due to this integration work our design team is expanding and we are looking for a Senior Designer to work with our in-house studio team whilst reporting into the Senior Studio Marketing Manager.The overall responsibility of the Senior Designer is to support the end-to-end delivery of marketing materials, via the creation of excellent concept creation, delivering fresh ideas to stakeholders using animation/video design.The design studio is a very fast paced environment and involves supporting and mentoring our junior designers. The role is responsible for conceptualisation and implementation of innovative design solutions that will cover digital, video, and print formats.Along with owning and promoting the use of excellent on brand assets across the society to keep our brand moving forward.This role is actively helping the Marketing team and Commercial office succeedAbout youYou’ll be an excellent designer, whether it is graphic design, video storyboarding or digital assets, with a strong portfolio to support this.You’ll have excellent communication and have experience of working within a team structure - reporting into line manager/s and giving constructive feedback to members of the team.Must have genuine creative flair and meticulous attention to detail with the ability to stay calm and deliver high quality/accurate work on time, including juggling of different priorities and tight timescales.This is an important role were you need to be an excellent creative thinker.Designer skills/tools:
  • Have an understanding, and examples of, the impact of research and insights within your creative outputs.
  • Full Adobe creative suite knowledge (In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat pro, premier pro, and aftereffects).
  • Skilled in visualising ideas, photo retouching (image manipulation)
  • Some knowledge of industry standard, visual design tools e.g. figma
  • Must have experience of storyboarding for video and/or animation
  • A good knowledge of litho and digital printing
