Role Overview:
Working in a team environment you will work on a range of products including showers, baths and automotive components. You will need to understand lay-up drawings and use your assembly skills to carry out the required workload.
Assembly and finishing experience of gelcoat repair, sanding and other finishing skills required. Knowledge of automotive and shower, bathroom industries is desirable but not essential. You will be required to visit sites occasional so a valid driver’s licence is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Production
- Read and understand lay-up specifications
- Some electrical assembly knowledge
- Use of hand tools i.e. drills, grinders
- Identify laminating defects
- Carefully following procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintaining an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments and repairs.
- Use of core materials and generic bonding pastes
- Use and control of patterns and jigs
- Basic housekeeping duties
- Correct use of PPE
Skills, qualities & experience required:
- An understanding of GRP laminating and associated processes including those mentioned above which may include Trimming and Polishing
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
- Good team player and excellent communicator
- Understanding of quality processes
