Job Title: Stores OperativeLocation: Coventry, CV4Salary: £24,000 per annumWorking Hours:- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 (30-minute lunch)- Friday: 08:00 - 14:00 (no lunch)About the Role:Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join their team based in Coventry. This role involves managing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining a safe and organised working environment. If you are proactive, well-organised, and thrive in a hands-on role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Key Responsibilities:- Goods In:o Inspect received goods for quality and suitability.o Book goods into the system, following established procedures.o Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.o Organise and store items in their correct locations.- Goods Out:o Pick and package stock items accurately based on sales or works orders.o Follow the company's picking processes and report any discrepancies.o Prepare and ship items for courier collection.- Stock Organisation:o Rotate expiry-dated and batch-numbered goods.o Manage damaged or faulty stock through quarantine procedures.- Health and Safety:o Maintain a clean and hazard-free stores area.o Conduct weekly risk assessments and address risks promptly.o Report and manage any accidents or injuries effectively.Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:- Always work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.- Report any safety or environmental concerns to your line manager.Requirements:- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role is preferred.- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.What's on Offer:- Competitive annual salary of £24,000.- Friendly working hours with an early finish on Fridays.- A supportive and inclusive work environment.- Opportunities for growth and professional development.Call Pertemps on for more info!
